What is a pulmonary function test?

The effectiveness of the lungs is determined by a pulmonary function test. The test evaluates lung volume, capacity, gas exchange, and rate of flow, as well as other lung-related characteristics. Your doctor may be able to identify and treat some lung diseases based on the results.

How are pulmonary function tests performed?

Pulmonary function tests can be performed in two ways, depending on the information your doctor needs. In some cases, your doctor may request both tests since they measure different things. Nice and capable staff for Covid 19 test. Very busy, so a bit of a wait for callbacks and when at site, and needed to call at site to get staff to come to car. Signed up for antibody test beforehand but not available when I got there. I am glad because the test is up to $200, depending on how much insurance covers. Call insurance first for sure.
